On April 8, 2017 the Alpha Gamma Pi Alumni Association received the Alumni Award of Merit. It is the top honor for alumni associations in Phi Theta Kappa. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, the Alpha Gamma Pi Alumni Association received the Community-Based award for those alumni associations that serve the community college. The Alumni Award of Merit judges community-based, regional, and university-based alumni associations against each other.
